Fiber Cables
HFiberCORE® – High‑quality fiber across your entire network
We develop, manufacture, and supply some of the world’s thinnest and highest‑performing fiber cables. Our HFiberCORE® cables offer superior blowing performance, high flexibility, and are available in many different types.
Most consumers don’t realise that the fibre installed in their home may have a supply point 100 km—or even further—away. Over a 100 km distance, there can be 50–70 splices (connections), each representing a potential point of failure in a fibre planner’s optical system budget. Splices in customer boxes and ODFs also involve mechanical connections, which are likewise critical. An ideal system would have no splices or mechanical joints.
Tailored Solutions
Even the smallest customization can bring significant benefits to you, such as faster installation, increased capacity, savings on material costs, and optimal operation in the future. We create tailored solutions that make up the complete package. We ensure that everything fits perfectly together – from active to passive components – and we create not just solutions but also results that exceed expectations.
A choice made with care
Resource‑efficient design: Compact cables and 200 μm fibres
reduce material consumption and transport.
Fewer splices: Ultra‑long blowing distances result in fewer joint
closures and less waste.
Fewer installation errors: HFUltraBEND™ reduces fibre damage
and rework.
Energy‑efficient network: Low‑loss fibres reduce the need for
active components and energy consumption.
Sustainable foundation: Developed and manufactured under
Følsgaard’s sustainability and ESG commitments.
TCO Sustainability – reduce installation costs
Fiber cables today are a mature and proven technology, functioning as a central “highway” in modern infrastructure. Fibre purchasing is therefore increasingly about more than price per metre—it's about the full TCO perspective: procurement, installation, lifetime, performance, operational stability, and risk of failure.
Questions such as: How complex is the installation environment? Are the blowing distances long or short? Is the timeline tight? Are the ducts straight or full of bends and resistance? All of these factors influence total cost of ownership and naturally form part of our advice.
A key part of TCO thinking is reducing installation costs. In the optical system budget, it is important to minimise the number of splices, as they increase both costs and potential points of failure. By using fibre cables up to 12 km in length, the number of splices can be dramatically reduced—along with installation time and future operational risk.
Følsgaard specialises in customised fibre cables where everything—from fibre count to delivery and blowing lengths—is optimised for the specific project.
Among other things, we use a surface technology with 20% lower friction coefficient than many competing products and a textured structure that provides 20–30% longer blowing distances. All of this directly contributes to lower TCO and more sustainable fibre installations.

Stable supply
To ensure long‑term operational reliability in your fibre network projects, a stable supply chain is just as important as technical performance. We maintain long‑term strategic partnerships with the world’s leading manufacturers of fibre optic cables.
These relationships ensure consistent access to high‑quality optical fibre—even during periods of global shortages or market volatility. As a result, we guarantee reliable delivery schedules and safeguard your project’s continuity.

HFUltraBEND™
Ultra‑flexible blowing cables for next‑generation fibre networks
Følsgaard’s HFUltraBEND™ is a series of blowing cables with ultra‑flexible tubes—a breakthrough in fibre‑optic cable technology. Previously used only for indoor installations, this technology is now available in cables designed for demanding outdoor and backbone environments.
With a documented bending radius down to 7.5 mm, HFUltraBEND™ enables faster, safer, and more compact installations without added loss or risk of fibre damage.
This allows greater freedom in junction boxes, mid‑span solutions, and ODF rack systems.
HFUltraBEND™ offers superior blowing performance. Standard HDPE jackets ensure stable blowing characteristics, while Nylon‑12 jackets can deliver 20–30% better performance. The result: longer blowing distances, fewer splices, lower optical loss, and reduced maintenance over the network’s lifetime.
Cables can be supplied with all standard singlemode fibres (D, A1, A2, B3, B4), 200 μm fibres - and even 173 µm —including low‑loss fibres with approx. 10% lower attenuation.
HFUltraBEND™ is offered in a full range from A12 to A576, diameters 4.5–10.5 mm, and can be precisely tailored to the network design.

A strong Danish‑German telecom collaboration demonstrates convincing blowing performance using Følsgaard’s HFiberCORE cable.
TESTED for real‑world conditions
Følsgaard’s fibre‑optic cables undergo extensive testing and validation to ensure high quality, reliability, and smooth installation under real‑world conditions. All relevant tests follow international standards and are supplemented with practical installation tests.
IEC tests for fibre‑optic cables
Our cables are tested according to IEC 60794, which includes tensile strength, bending, torsion, temperature cycling, and water penetration. These tests ensure the cables meet mechanical and environmental demands.
Type and installation tests
For new cable designs, we conduct type and design tests to verify construction and functionality. In addition to IEC tests, we conduct blowing tests, flush tests, and installation simulations that reflect real conditions.
Blowing and flush tests
Blowing tests document that cables can be efficiently installed with compressed air without damage. Flush tests validate resistance to water and moisture for water‑flush cables.
Real‑world testing
Our installation tests include connectivity, performance, temperature and humidity resistance, and safety—ensuring that our fibre solutions not only meet standards but also perform reliably in practice.
